Projects
Create projects, post updates, wire up triggers, and control what your client sees — from the list to the project detail view and settings.
A project is the unit of work you keep a client informed about. Each project has its own update timeline, its own connected sources, and its own public client page. This page walks through the project list, creating a project, the detail view, posting updates, and project settings.
The projects list
The main list shows every project in the workspace you currently have selected, with a row per project.
- Search for a project by name or customer.
- Filter by customer, by source (the connected service behind a project's triggers), by status (projects with open client messages), and by lifecycle (Active, On hold, Completed).
- Sort by name, last update, or number of open messages.
Each row shows the project name, its customer, the icons of its connected sources (or "Manual" if there are none), a badge when there are open client messages, and when the last update happened. Click a row to open the project.
Your plan includes a limited number of projects. When you reach it, the New project button is replaced by an upgrade prompt.
Creating a project
Click New project at the top of the list.
Give the project a name (for example, "Website relaunch").
Pick the customer this project belongs to. If you haven't added them yet, there's a link to create a customer first.
Optionally choose the email delivery sender. Leaving this on the default uses the standard system email; you can instead pick a custom sender that's been made available in this workspace's connections.
Click Create project.
The project detail view
Opening a project shows its full workspace: a header, key numbers, its sources, routing and access controls, the update box, and the timeline.
Header actions
- Notifications bell — mute this project. You can silence everything, or turn off individual events: a new question, something assigned to you, something escalated to you, or a client reply.
- Settings — open the project's settings (see below).
- Share — copies the public client page link to your clipboard, ready to send to your client.
- More actions (owner/admin) — put the project on hold, mark it completed, or reactivate a paused or completed project. Pausing or completing closes the project's incoming and outgoing channels.
The numbers strip shows how many updates the project has, how many triggers are active out of the total, the customer, and which email sender is used.
Triggers
Triggers connect an outside service so that updates appear automatically. Here you can add a trigger, switch each one between Active and Paused, edit it, copy its token, or delete it. An Orphaned badge means the connection behind a trigger is no longer available and needs reconnecting. See Connections & integrations for the full setup.
Redirect requests (Pro)
Controls where client questions for this project are sent — overriding the workspace default. You can send all requests to one person or team, or route general and urgent questions separately.
Access control (Pro)
Controls the public client page for this project:
- Password protection — require a password to open the public page, and set or reveal that password.
- Take public page offline — hides the entire public page (updates and Q&A) while keeping all data safe internally. You can bring it back online any time.
If your organization or workspace enforces protection or offline status, these switches are locked here and show who set them.
Posting an update
Every project has a quick box and a detailed page.
Quick update
At the top of the timeline, type into Write a quick update and press Send. It's posted immediately.
Detailed update
Click Advanced for the full editor:
Write a subject / title — this is required.
Add details in the rich editor. You can reference other updates and items from the project.
Optionally attach files (PDFs, images, documents).
Toggle Mark as important if this update should stand out.
Choose how the client is emailed:
- No email — create the update only, no mail.
- Email outbox — queue the mail for your approval before it goes out (see Outbox).
- Send directly — email the client right away.
Click Publish.
The update timeline
Below the update box, every update is listed newest-first.
- Filter the timeline by All, Public, or Internal updates.
- Each update shows its title, content, any attachments, and who posted it. Important and Internal updates carry a badge.
- Hover an update to edit or delete it, or copy a permalink straight to it.
- Disclose to customer / Hide (internal) (Pro) flips a single update between public and internal.
Customer Q&A & activity
Above the timeline you can set how much of the project's activity and question history the client sees on their public page: No Q&A, Activity only, or Full content. When Q&A is shown, you also choose the client's default view — progress or Q&A.
Showing full content on an unprotected public page exposes the conversation to anyone with the link. Sennith will ask you to confirm, or to turn on password protection first.
Project settings
The gear icon opens settings:
- Project name and customer.
- Email delivery — the sender used for this project's client mail.
- Client language — the language your client's emails and public page use. Leave on default to follow the customer's own setting.
The danger zone at the bottom lets you permanently delete the project and everything in it. This can't be undone.
