Templates

Reusable email and update templates so your client communication stays consistent — with placeholders that fill in automatically.

Templates let you write your client communication once and reuse it everywhere. There are two kinds, shown as tabs at the top of the page: Templates (the emails clients receive) and Update messages (how an automated update reads). Both belong to the workspace you currently have selected, so everyone on the team draws from the same set.

Both kinds support placeholders — such as project name, customer name, the event message, author, date, and a link — which get filled in automatically when the template is used, and a preview with example values so you can see the result before saving.

Templates (email)

The emails your clients receive. Search your list, then open one to edit or create a new one.

Give the template an internal name (for your reference).

Write the subject line.

Choose the language it's written in.

Write the body in the editor, or switch to preview to see it rendered. Add placeholders where you want dynamic values.

Optionally pick files from your media library to attach to every send.

Save.

Each template can be marked as the default for its language, so it's the one used automatically when no other is chosen.

Update messages

How an automatic update is phrased — its title and body — when a trigger fires. Each has an internal name, a language, a title template, and a body template, all written with the same placeholders and preview.

As with emails, you can mark one update message as the default per language. When you set up a trigger, you can accept the auto-generated wording, pick one of these update messages, or write a one-off custom text.

Info

Marking a template as default for a language automatically unsets any previous default for that same language.
